M2M Dashboard is an application and associated services built off the “Cloud Foundry” platform that demonstrates the endless possibilities that the “Internet Of Things” can bring to life. The services built as part of this project allow for easy registration and communication between various devices that allow for ambulances/emergency vehicles to move in the cities swiftly on event of emergencies. The devices communicate back to the traffic control to allow for the traffic signals to be operated automatically. Devices communicate with each other over the extremely lightweight MQTT protocol using the publish/subscribe mechanism in a secure environment. The students demonstrated this project with the help of a live model and a highly creative video that is a must watch !! The app is now all set to go live on IBM Bluemix.
